We placed our latest Solace Stone on the reef last week and were lucky enough to have some amazing weather to accompany Harry Barkwith and his family to the site.
Ruth Barnett sent us some lovely words about the experience:
We sent off my husbands uncle Harry to his final resting place at the weekend.
I would like to take time to let everybody know about the fantastic people who run Solace Reef, Sean and Marcus.
Please, if you are thinking of scattering a loved ones ashes, go one further like ourselves, and arrange a Solace Stone with these guys. The care and dignity of entrusting your loved ones to them is beyond amazing.
These two guys have set up an artificial reef. They place your loved ones ashes into a stone which then is dropped from the boat and positioned on the reef. It makes a beautiful environment for lobsters and other marine animals to thrive and build the reef into a beautiful place. You get an update on how your loved ones are sustaining and keeping this fantastic environment alive.
Our family cannot even express how grateful we are to have had this experience and our heartfelt thanks go out to these two special people.
